AbstractAbstract
[en] The bedrock at Sternoe is known from surface mapping and from five deep boreholes with core recovery. The results from these investigations can be summarized as follows; 1. The bedrock consists of three different rock types a) Coastal gneiss b) Gneissic granite c) Karlshamn granite 2. The investigated area is limited by northwest and northeast striking fracture zones in the northern part of Sternoe and by a west-east striking fracture zone in the southern part. A dike of diabase appears in the eastern part of Sternoe. A fracture zone parallell to the diabase is dividing the investigated area into two blocks. 3. The fracture frequency in the main part of the cores are low, 0 - 4 fractures/3 meter core length. Fractured zones are found mainly in boreholes Ka 3 (1.6 m), Ka 2 (1.25 m) and to a higher degree in Ka 4. 4. There is no specific difference in fracturing between different rock types. 5. The evaluation of the hydraulic conductivity at Sternoe from measurings in four of the boreholes shows two volumes of bedrock, separated by a north-north-east striking fracture zone, which has a very low hydraulic conductivity (< 10-11 m/s) below 300 meter. 6. The hydraulic conductivity in the fracture zones varies between 1 x 10-9 m/s to 1.5 x 10-6 m/s. (author)
