AbstractAbstract
[en] The possibility to measure the material texture by the neutron time-of-flight diffraction is considered. X-ray and neutron methods of texture investigation are compared and a mathematical method of its quantitative management is described. In order to obtain the fundamental function of texture analysis, the orientation distribution function, from experimental data essential equations are given extending this function into generalized spherical functions. Several methods for treating the experimental data are described on the base of these equations. A spectrometer, in particularly a special texture goniometer, is described and first experimental results got at the IBR-30 pulsed reactor are presented
