AbstractAbstract
[en] The process of ignition spread in a thermonuclear fuel in a nonuniformly compressed target having the form of a body of revolution with an inertial wall at peripheral ignition is studied. The estimations of the main parameters of such a target, expenditures of energy, fuel burnup and energy extraction are carried out. The calculations of energy spread have been performed by the computer. The main calculations have been performed for the D-T fuel. The burning conditions for the deuterium fuel with an addition of small quantities of tritium and helium-3 for burning improvement are briefly considered. The relative concentrations of isotopes are chosen so small that their reproduction takes place during the burning of the mixture. It is shown that the utilization of peripheral ignition of the nonuniformly compressed target permits to get the main part of thermonuclear energy due to the burning of a lightly compressed fuel that leads to the increase of the Ksub(E) energy conversion coefficient with the increase of the total energy extraction
