AbstractAbstract
[en] After a short review of some properties of hadronic multi-particle systems which show the presence of a statistical mechanism, particle production is described in soft hadronic collisions using the quark recombination model. Finally, particle production in hard collisions, in particular large transverse momentum processes and the occurence of gluon jets in deep inelastic processes is discussed within the framework of QCD perturbation theory.
