AbstractAbstract
[en] The spin orientation of excited fragments from the reaction 100 MeV 16O on Ni was studied measuring the circular polarization and angular correlation of γ-rays in coincidence with the light fragments detected at 35 degrees. A large polarization P(gamma) and at least 80% negative angle scattering are deduced for Dl events whereas an observed decrease of P(gamma) for Q>-30 MeV is ascribed to increasing positive-angle contributions to the cross section. The γ-angular correlation from the 12C(4.4 MeV) and 16O(6.1 MeV) states revealed large anisotropies from which we infer an ejectile alignment op P22 approximately equals 0.4(12C) and 0.2(16O)
