[en] This report presents the results of studies conducted to identify and recommend a simplified dynamic analysis procedure applicable for performing nonlinear analyses of Category I nuclear power plant structures. For the recommended simplified procedures, the theoretical background, mathematical formulation, analytical solution, verification of reliability, and interpretation of results were established. In addition, studies were conducted to compare the results of conventional linear analysis with nonlinear analyses to establish the relative merits of the two approaches
