AbstractAbstract
[en] Preliminary results are presented of an investigation into the potential of low density CsI cathodes for x-ray image intensifiers. The results for quantum efficiency and spatial and time resolution using x-ray sources of 5.9, 17.5, 22.0 and 42.0 keV are reported. X-ray intensifiers with CsI cathodes are currently being designed for use in a magnetically focussed device for x-ray diffraction work and also in a small device for x-ray topography. (U.K.)
