[en] The Waco quadrangle of eastern Texas lies within the northern Gulf Coastal Province. The area contains portions of the Ouachita Tectonic Belt, and the East Texas-Athens Embayment. The Mexia-Talco Fault Zone strikes NNW through the center of the area. West of the fault zone, Eocene neritic sediments are dominant, whereas Cretaceous platform deposits cover most of the area west of the zone. Examination of available literature shows no known uranium deposits (or occurrences) within the quadrangle. One hundred forty-four groups of uranium samples were defined as anomalous and discussed briefly in this report. None are considered significant. Most appear to be of cultural origin. Magnetic data in the quadrangle are dominantly low frequency/low amplitude wavelengths, which suggest that sources may be extremely deep
