AbstractAbstract
[en] The results of experiments on models estimating the depth of emanation methods for search of radioactive ores with the determination of a rate of vertical radon transfer in various friable formations are presented. Uranium ore, rock debris-sandy loam material, dry and wet sands as well as loesses were used as the model material. The effect of water on the radon transfer was estimated using an aqueous model. It is shown that the basis of the radon migration in the interior part of the earth is not only the molecular diffusion but also the convective transfer. 1x10-6 m/s constant rate of soil air migration results in increasing gaseous radionuclide activity by several orders as compared to a diffusion model. Measurements were carried out by plastic track detectors and electron alphameters. The radon transfer rate amounted to (10-30)x10-6 m/s according to the results obtained, which is higher by one-two orders as compared with the the radon transfer rate, determined by the diffusion transfer. The emanation method depth can reach several tens of meters under favourable conditions
