[en] General data of all European PWRs in operation as of July 1978 are summarized. Requirements for primary and secondary coolant chemistry are listed. The chemical operating experience of all the European plants is shown by using their average analytical values of the different cooling systems. There are some aspects of primary and secondary side chemistry that are discussed in more detail; dose rate in the primary heat transport system, and steam generator problems on the secondary side
