AbstractAbstract
[en] The dependence of amplification of channel electron multipliers (c.e.m.) of the VEhU-6 type on the magnetic field up to 30 mT, is investigated. The dependence of the VEhU-6 amplification on the magnetic field is compared with a theoretical model calculated for a direct channel. In the experiment, four channel electron multipliers in glass cylinders pumped to the pressure of about 10-6 tor with flat tritium sources of various activities are placed in the field of the external solenoid, perpendicular to the axis of their spiral. The increase of the magnetic field leads to a sharp distortion of the trajectory of electrons emitted by a tritium source, which leads to the c.e.m. amplification rise. When operating in the regime of saturation fields of approximately 20-30 mT have but a slight effect on VEhU-6 amplification
