[en] The relative intensities of N4sub(,)5N6sub(,)7sub(,) N4sub(,)5N6sub(,)7O4sub(,)5 and N4sub(,)5 N6sub(,)7O2sub(,)3 transitions in clean Au, Pt and Ir are measured, and the relative roles of super-Coster-Kronig and Coster-Kronig de-excitation of N4sub(,)5 holes are discussed. Super-Coster-Kronig transitions account for more than half the de-excitation in Au, and become increasingly dominant as the number of O4sub(,)5 electrons in the metal decreases. (orig.)
