[en] The average neutron activation cross-sections of the 55Mn(n,γ)56Mn and 115In(n,γ) 116In reactions have been studied within and outside paraffin surroundings. An average neutron activation cross-section of (460 +- 20)mb for the 55Mn(n,γ)56Mn-reaction has been measured in paraffin surroundings and (0.9 +- 0.1)mb outside it. The corresponding values for the 115In(n,γ)116In-reaction are (1900 +- 150)mb and (52 +- 6)mb. (author)
