AbstractAbstract
[en] A set of weighting factors, different to those set out in ICRP 26, is proposed and applied in combining the absorbed dose to various organs, reflecting in a better manner the risk to each tissue or organ relative to the total risk in uniform whole-body or non-uniform irradiation circumstances. Effective dose-equivalent rates have been computed for a male, a female and a hermaphrodite phantom 100 m downwind of a hypothetical 1 G sec-1 release of a 1 MeV infinite half-life γ emitter at ground level.
