AbstractAbstract
[en] Homogenous Leca blocks of density 0.85 g/cm3, a widely used building material, have been subjected to X-ray attenuation measurements. The radiation qualities applied are typical for dental and medical diagnostic installations. Transmission curves and TVLs are presented. The results show that Leca exhibits better shielding properties per gram weight than concrete because of its higher effective atomic number. (author)
