[en] Characteristics were given of steels and alloys used in the PWR nuclear power plants and of water used in the primary and secondary systems. Corrosion damages of materials and installations were described. It was indicated that the damages were due mainly to stress corrosion cracking. Main preventive methods were listed. (author)
