AbstractAbstract
[en] A new approximation for double differential cross sections is derived. The approximation is valid when (a) the collision is sudden, (b) the relative motion may be described classically and (c) the anisotropic part of the interaction potential is weak relative to the isotropic part. It is shown that in the appropriate limits the approximation reduces to the usual time-dependent sudden approximation and the Glauber approximation. (author)
