AbstractAbstract
[en] The purpose of this talk is to describe a twochain model for soft hadronic collisions in a parton framework. The model reproduces the shape and energy of inclusive spectra both in the central region and in the fragmentation region, including the absolute normalization. The only inputs are quantities determined from ''hard'' processes, namely the structure functions of (valence) quarks in the incident colliding hadrons and the fragmentation functions of quarks into the observed hadrons. Although formulated entirely in terms of partons concepts, the model is inspired by and consistent with the dual topological unitarization (DTU) scheme. In contrast to previous recombination and fragmentation models (which normally contain at least one unknown function), the model we discuss here contains neither arbitrary functions nor adjustable parameters.
