AbstractAbstract
[en] An approximate method to solve the problem of neutron transport from an external source located on the inner or outer surfaces of a multi-layer cylindrical system infinite along Z-axis is considered. The pass method featured by the lack of interpolation of the neutron source function is used to solve the one-speed kinetic equation. In order to determine the region of the method validity the algorithm was realized for one-group computer calculations. The results were compared to those obtained by the routine method of characteristics and show the efficiency of the approximate method. The algorithm proposed can be easily generalized for the multigroup problem
