[en] Optimal conditions have been chosen for electrothermal atomic absorption analysis with automatic temperature control (ATC). An electronic circuit for ATC has been developed. It has been shown that this variant of the technique makes it possible to widen a range of direct determinations by 3-4 orders of magnitude, the calibration graph linearity being maintained. The circuit allows the determination of elements of significantly different volatilities without changes of temperature programmes. Results of Co, Cu, Cd determination using ATC method with a furnace-flame atomizer have been adduced
