[en] In the evaluation of the 26 jaundiced patients, CT was useful and highly accurate in differentiation between surgical and medical jaundice. Upon reviewing 18 patients of surgical jaundice, the site of obstruction either at the intrahepatic duct, common hepatic duct, or common bile duct was correctly diagnosed in all cases. Diagnosis of the obstructive site by CT will be of great help for selection of the following diagnostic procedure. The underlying causes of biliary tract obstructions were diagnosed in 5 cases.
