[en] The measuring methods for charged particle beam emittance are classified: according to transverse beam cross sections measured at several points; the method based on diaphragming separate beam parts; the method of laser beam probing. Depending on the method of measuring angular and space beam coordinates different modifications of the above method are presented. The beam emittance measuring devices with mechanical scanning, with electromagnetic and electrostatic scanning, as well as combined scanning devices and emittance measuring devices without scanning are described. It is shown that the main failure of the given devices is great labour content of measurement data processing. The ways of improvement of measurement operativeness for charged particle pulsed beam emittance are shown. Calculation of emittance measuring device parameters with a multi-slit diaphragm is given
