AbstractAbstract
[en] We have made detailed Unrestricted Hartree-Fock calculations on clusters of Li an Be atoms with and without muons present. From these results we obtain hyperfine fields and Knight shifts. This paper discusses the underlying principles and presents preliminary results. The predicted Knight shifts are much smaller than from jellium models and are in acceptable accord with experiment. It is clear that the (atomic) inhomogeneity of the electronic charge distribution is important. (orig.)
