AbstractAbstract
[en] The corrosion products of Fe in highly SO2 polluted atmospheres are studied by means of Moessbauer Spectroscopy. The influence of relative humidity and SO2 is shown. Three species of Fe2+ and two of Fe3+ are detected. The Fe2+ species are formed in the first stages of the reaction (up to 1 month), the final product is γ-FeOOH. (orig.)
