[en] This letter refers to confusion concerning the use of conversion factors as recommended in NRCP Report 38 and ICRP Publication 21, in particular the variation due to different methods of interpolation between tabulated values. Calibration results for instruments quoted in terms of fluence response and dose equivalent response as well as statement of the conversion factors applied are suggested. Discrepancies in protection limits derived from both publications are pointed out. (U.K.)
