AbstractAbstract
[en] A code (FRT) has been written to describe the evolution of a axisymmetric field-reversed mirror. The transport equation, which is 1-D, describes the plasma inside the separatrix. The code is being used to model the Beta II magnetized coaxial plasma gun at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory. The plasma is assumed to consist of hydrogen ion and electrons. A small percentage of impurity ion with fixed density profile is also included in the calculation
