AbstractAbstract
[en] Kinetic parameters, such as order of reaction, energy of activation and frequency factor are determined for the thermal decomposition of the complexes of Ba, Mg and Cd with 5,7 Diiodo-8-hydroxyquinoline (Diodoquin) (DIHQ). The methods applied are Freeman-Carroll, Coats and Redfern and Horowitz and Metzger. For the thermal decomposition of DIHQ, complexes of Ba, Mg and Cd, the n and E values are 0, approximately 1 and 1 and 27.45, 18.06 and 18.72 Kcals/mole by Freeman-Carroll method. The E and Z values by Coats and Redfern method are 28.76, 17.56 and 18.53 Kcals/mole and 2.6 x 105, 1.699 x 102 and 2.113 x 102 sec-1, while the values of E and Z by Horowitz and Metzger method are 29.169, 17.603, and 18.453 Kcals/mole and 2.28 x 105, 1.58 x 102 and 2.00 x 102 sec-1 respectively.
