AbstractAbstract
[en] The first results of thermocurrent dosimetry (TCD) measurements are presented which have been carried out with synthetic optically pure sapphire. Parameters of the experimental apparatus designed for irradiation of speciments and measuremets of thermocurrents are shortly described 241Am served as a radiation source. Typical TCD curves are presented which have been obtained after irradiation up to 5x10-5 and 5x10-4 C/kg and heating in the temperature range from 100 to 400 deg C. The background noise is due to surface polarization. The merit of TCD consists in measuring doses using electric values, thus ensuring the simplicity of measurements and adequate reproducibility of results
