AbstractAbstract
[en] We derive an expression for Knight shift (K) in solids including spin-orbit and many body effects. Hitherto, it has been thought that the entire effect of spin-orbit interaction on K is incorporated through a modification of the g-factor. However, we obtain additional important contributions due to spin-orbit effects. For p-type PbTe we find that these new contributions are of the same order as others. We also obtain for the first time the effects of exchange and correlation on all contributions to K. (orig.)
