[en] The neutral beam injector (abbreviated to NBI) is indispensable to generating superhigh temperature (about 100,000,0000C) required for nuclear fusion, and is continually growing in scale and requiring higher and higher technology. The second-step heater of the fusion experiment equipment, JFT-2, supplied to Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute is the largest NBI in Japan. It is expected to make important contribution to the progress of nuclear fusion equipment hereafter. (author)
