AbstractAbstract
[en] Formulae are given for the computation of the distribution of energy losses (straggling) in moderately thin absorbers (0.01-0.05 radiation lengths) for electrons with energies approx. > 15 MeV. Energy losses by collision and by radiation are taken into account, using an extension of the Landau straggling theory folded with an expression given by Heitler. The results of these calculations are compared with available experimental data. (orig.)
