[en] Liver scanning with colloidal ¹⁹⁸Au and liver function tests were performed in the 21 cases of glomerulonephritis. In the 7 cases of acute glomerulonephritis, NPN was 53+-22 mg%, BUN 25+-20 mg%, serum creatinine 2.1+-2.7 mg%, SGOT 30+-14 U (increased in 1 case), alkaline phosphatase 3.0+-1.3 U (Bessey-Lowry, increased in 3 cases), and liver surface area in the liver scanning 159+-36 cm². In the 14 cases of chronic glomerulonephritis, NPN was 113+-55 mg%, BUN 77+-40 mg%, serum creatinine 7.8+-5.3 mg%, SGOT 27+-13 U (increased 3 cases), alkaline phosphatase 2.9+-1.1 U (increased in 6 cases), and liver surface area 169+-45 cm².
