AbstractAbstract
[en] Recent advances in high energy hadron physics have centred around the quark model. Spectroscopic calculations in this model typically involve a small number of particles, (two, three or four), very strongly coupled by many body forces and moving relativistically. The stochastic variational method, which originated in a nuclear physics context, is very useful for such systems. This method is described, together with some applications. (orig.)
