AbstractAbstract
[en] The invention is related to devices for generating neutron fields which are widely used in different fields of nuclear physics and technology. The invention is intended to increase generator neutron yield and decrease neutron pulse duration. The neutron generator operates in the following way. The laser beam which has the circular cross-section is focussed on an annular laser target. As a result of the target exposure to radiation, a circular, deuterium containing plasmoid is formed. The simultaneous formation of the circular plasmoid and pulse-forming line discharge through the coil results is repulsing plasma ring from the coil. After such acceleration the plasma ring containing deuterons bombards a neutron-containing target where fast-neutron pulsed flux is formed as a result of nuclear reaction T(d, n)4He. The simplicity of the formation in the proposed device of a circular high-temperature, high-density plasmoid which can contain more than 1016 of deuteron ions as well as the possibility to accelerate such quantity of deuterons up to the energy of >= 100 keV in short time allows to realize a high flux pulsed source with neutron yield of >=10 n/pulse and instantaneous intensity of 1017 n/s
