AbstractAbstract
[en] The permeability to hydrogen of natural surface oxides of steel has been studied. Oxides can form an effective barrier to the embrittlement of the substrate. Tests show that oxides formed at high temperature during forming and those formed in an oxidizing bath can reduce steel embrittlement
