[en] A method for optimizational calculation of basic parameters of burnable poison rods is proposed. The method is based on determining the additions to the homogenized absorption cross section connected with the presence of burnable poisons simultaneously with calculation of such core parameters as the cell geometric characteristics, chemical compositions of fuel and burnable poisons, coefficients of absorption cross sections in zones, imitating the reactor control system. On the basis of analysis of testing calculational results the conclusion is drawn that the described method is available for solving optimizational problems connected with determination of the composition, and number of burnable poison rods in the zones of the nuclear reactor physical profiling as well as for solving the other, analogous problems, for example, when calculating the reactor cores with complex heterogeneous inserts
