AbstractAbstract
[en] The results of investigations of the values of the short-range order parameter are summarized for a number of solid solutions. The values of the short-range order (SRO) parameter are shown to be monotonically dependent upon the annealing temperatures and times and also upon the concentration of the solute atoms in plastically deformed, neutron irradiated or quenched samples of these solid solutions. The appearance of type II SRO, or local order, at a certain stage of annealing has been discussed in a series of transition metal alloys. The possible role of the submicroregions of excess concentration has been analyzed to explain the local order in these alloys. The possibility for the nucleation of Long-Range order in some of the alloys has also been considered. (author)
