AbstractAbstract
[en] Slow recirculating flows of suspensions of small solid particles contained in rectangular enclosures are dealt with. The pertinent equations follow the model of Saffman and Drew for small density differences between the continuum and the dispersed phase. Analytical and numerical solutions are obtained in two situations, i.e. the natural convection between two isothermal vertical walls and the recirculation induced by a sliding plate. (Author)

Estudam-se pequenas particulas solidas em suspensao em escoamentos lentos de recirculacao contidos em uma cavidade retangular. As equacoes pertinentes seguem o modelo de Saffman e Drew para pequenas diferencas de densidade entre fluido e particula. Obtem-se solucoes analiticas e numericas em duas situacoes, i.e. a conveccao natural entre duas paredes isotermicas verticais e recirculacao induzida por uma placa escorregadia.
