AbstractAbstract
[en] Nuclear deformation of 24Mg, 28Si and 32S has been investigated by means of fast neutron scattering. These nuclei lie in a mass region of the s-d shell where nuclear shape changes very rapidly from one nucleus to the other. Differential cross sections were measured at 9.76 and 14.83 MeV incident neutron energies over the angular range from 15 to 160 deg. Angular distributions were obtained for the elastic scattering and the inelastic scattering to levels of up to 6 MeV excitation energy. An analysis of the data using the deformed and the statistical models is presented and discussed. Quadrupole and hexadecapole deformations of the nuclear potential, deduced from the analysis of the 0+, 2+, 4+ states of the ground state rotational band, are compared to those obtained by other excitation processes

On a etudie, par diffusion de neutrons rapides, la deformation nucleaire de 24Mg, 28Si et 32S. Ces noyaux se trouvent dans la region de masse de la couche s-d ou la forme nucleaire varie tres rapidement d'un noyau a l'autre. On a mesure les sections efficaces differentielles pour des energies de neutrons incidents de 9,76 et 14,83 MeV a des angles repartis entre 15 et 160 deg. Les distributions angulaires ont ete obtenues par diffusion elastique et inelastique pour des niveaux jusqu'a 6 MeV d'energie d'excitation. On presente une analyse des donnees dans le cadre du modele statistique. Les deformations quadrupolaire et hexadecapolaire des potentiels nucleaires deduites de l'analyse des etats 0+, 2+ et 4+ de la bande rotationnelle de l'etat fondamental, sont comparees a celles obtenues par d'autres moyens d'excitationOriginal Title
