AbstractAbstract
[en] A solution of N-benzoyl-N-phenylhydroxylaminate chelate of molybdenyl-(99Mo) in an organic solvent immiscible or only slightly miscible with the water phase, such as dichloromethane or chloroform, is exposed to diluted inorganic acids (HCl, HNO3, HClO4) at a concentration from 0.01 M to 0.1 M. Pure sup(99m)Tc is separated from the water phase. The method is advantageous in that that Tc is cumulated in the water phase and can immediately be used. The advantages of the method also include the chemical and radiochemical purity of sup(99m)Tc, a high yield, ease of the preparation of an isotonic solution from the water phase, the high capacity of the organic phase allowing the use of activated MoO3 at a low molar activity, and the possibility of using a simple equipment for separating the lighter water phase in the extraction generator.
