AbstractAbstract
[en] Inactive cells of the unicellular green alga Chlorella pyrenoidosa CHICK were used to test the following hypothesis: the radioresistance acquired by these cells after irradiation at low dose rate (0.06 Gy/mn) is due to the selection or induction of radioresistant clones. Clone cultures were grown mainly from colonies exhibiting defects (high cell loss, slowed growth, pigment deficiency). Of thirty clones studied, three only of second and third separations possessed the radioresistance of their original population. On the basis of these results, backed up by a first experiment which shows the loss of cell radioresistance when continuous irradiation is stopped, the initial hypothesis may be dismissed and research directed towards changes relative to cell restoration processes by irradiation at low dose rates

On a utilise des cellules quiescentes de l'algue verte unicellulaire Chlorella pyrenoidosa CHICK pour accepter ou refuser l'hypothese suivante: la radioresistance acquise par ces cellules a la suite d'une irradiation a faible debit de dose (0,06 Gy/mn) provient-elle de la selection ou de l'induction de clones radioresistants. Les cultures de clones ont ete effectuees principalement a partir de colonies presentant des deficiences (perte cellulaire elevee, croissance ralentie, deficience en pigments). Sur trente clones etudies, trois seulement de deuxieme et troisieme isolements avaient la radioresistance de la population dont ils etaient issus. Ces resultats, etayes par une premiere experience qui montre la perte de la radioresistance des cellules avec l'arret de l'irradiation continue, permettent de rejeter l'hypothese de depart et orientent vers la recherche de modification concernant les processus de restauration des cellules par irradiation a faible debitOriginal Title
