[en] Charmed particle production in π^-p collisions is considered, taking into account the interaction (recombination) of charmed quarks with valence quarks and valence-sea diquarks from π^- mesons. The differential and total cross sections for charmed particle production are calculated in agreement with the experimental data. It is shown that the predictions of ''intrinsic'' charm model contradict experimental data in 360 GeV π^-p collisions. In the process of hadronization of charmed quarks the account for interaction with valence quarks from the initial hadron leads to the production more fast charmed hadrons in comparison with processes of fragmentation of quarks. The account for such an interaction leads to the change of yields of charged and neutral D mesons, D and ßsub(c) particles
