AbstractAbstract
[en] Description and test results of a spectrometer for the ''Deuteron'' facility are presented. The spectrometer is designed for investigations into the ß-induced photoproduction of charged particles on nuclei in the angular range of 20 to 120 deg, at pulses of detected particles up to 1.5 GeV/c. The secondary charged particles, produced in a target following ß-quanta irradiation, are deflected in magnetic field and registered by a system, consisting of two scintillation counters, three flat gas counters and two multi-filament proportional chambers. The particle trajectory is determined by measuring a coordinate at three points. The proportional chambers and gas counters are included in the selection and registration system with the output pulse widths of 60 ns, which ensured their high efficiency (about 0.98). The spectrometer has been tested and calibrated by means of registering the particles produced by irradiation of Alsup(27) with bremsstrahlung ß-quanta of Esub(max)=4.5 GeV and at registration angles of 50 and 90 deg
