AbstractAbstract
[en] Prototype cables for 7.5-T, pulsed field application in tokamak poloidal field coils have been designed, fabricated, and evaluated. Successful fabrication of a 10 m superconducting sample represents the largest superconducting cable ever made. Details of the fabrication, the problems expected and encountered, and the solutions to those problems are discussed. Results of stability measurements on the superconducting prototype also are presented
