Bei der Aufstellung des Entwicklungsprogramms wurden verschiedene Massnahmen zusammengestellt, die eine Verbesserung des Werkstoffverhaltens nach Bestrahlung erwarten lassen. Einzelne Programmpunkte sind: Behinderung der Rekristallisation, geeignete thermomechanische Behandlungen durch die im Korninnern Haftstellen (traps) erzeugt werden, die Verformungsfaehigkeit der Korngrenzen erhoeht werden soll, und darueber hinaus allgemein auch die thermische Stabilitaet des Gefueges verbessert werden soll.
