[en] Hardware and software have been developed to support an International Atomic Energy Agency Project to collect and store liquid uranium hexafluoride assay enrichment data. An assay enrichment monitor was installed in one of the liquid uranium hexafluoride product withdrawal lines at the Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant (ORGDP). A hierarchial computer system was used to collect and store the data. A microprocessor-based control system in the enrichment monitor was used to calculate, store, and transmit data. A remote computer with disk storage peripherals, located elsewhere at ORGDP, collected and temporarily stored assay data that were collected from the enrichment monitor. A host computer located at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant transferred the temporary files weekly from the remote computer to the host for permanent storage on magnetic tape.
