AbstractAbstract
[en] The process of neutron transport is fundamental to all neutronic systems. The mathematical theory of neutron transport, an off-shoot of the linearized, semi-classical kinetic theory of gases, has been developed to a considerable degree in recent decades. A description of some of the development is given, indicating how it has drawn from, and enriched other branches of mathematics, science, and technology. (author)
