AbstractAbstract
[en] The Hauser-Feshbach statistical approach is used to calculate the angular and energy distributions of neutrons from the (p,n) reaction at a proton energy 11 MeV. From comparison with experimental data we have drawn conclusions regarding the reaction mechanism and regarding the variation of the moment of inertia as a function of the mass number. Energy distributions of neutrons in the (p,2n) reaction are obtained in the nuclei 94Zr, 122Sn, 181Ta, and 197Au. The ratio < GAMMA/sub γ//GAMMA/sub n/> averaged over energy is determined for 181W and 197Hg
