AbstractAbstract
[en] The pion-nucleon σ term is calculated in the framework of the quark model and current algebra making use of the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuki (OZI) rule violation parameter. The current quark mass ratio msub(s)sup(T)/msup(T) takes the values in the interval given by the current albegra and PCAC. The OZI rule violation parameter is estimated making Use of the quark-parton model
