[en] The effect of the loading rate on strength and deformative properties of fine-grained graphite of the ARV grade and medium-grain graphite of the VPP grade during elongation compression and bending tests is studied. During mechanic tests of graphite the effect of the loading rate in the ranqe from 0.1 to 10 MPa x c-1 is insignificant; the further rate increase leads to a considerable decrease of strength, which must be taken into account when calculating the strength of products made of artificial graphite
